Henley Women's Regatta 2026 – A Proud Performance from Trent Rowing Club

Trent Rowing Club was represented at this year's Henley Women's Regatta by junior athletes Liv and Ania, who competed in the prestigious Rayner Cup for Junior Double Sculls.

After an excellent season of training and racing, the pair qualified for the prestigious Rayner Cup (Junior Double Sculls), earning their place among the fastest junior crews in the country. Representing Trent with Liv in the stroke seat and Ania at bow, they raced down the world-famous Henley course against some of the UK’s strongest competition.

Their time of 6:05.1 saw them qualify 14th fastest from a highly competitive field, with just fractions of a second separating several of the qualifying crews.

Their reward was a place in the knockout stages, where they faced Nottingham & Union Rowing Club in the opening round. Against quality opposition, they raced with determination, eventually losing by 3¼ lengths.

Qualifying for Henley Women's Regatta is a significant achievement in itself, and Liv and Ania should be immensely proud. Racing on the iconic Henley course against the country's best junior athletes is an experience that will undoubtedly help them continue to develop as rowers.
