Trent Juniors Win at East Staffordshire Sports Awards 2026
It was a fantastic evening for Trent Rowing Club at the East Staffordshire Sports Awards, where our Trent Junior Squad were proudly named winners of the Ted Smith Junior Team Award.
This prestigious award recognises outstanding achievements in junior sport across the borough, and we couldn’t be prouder of our incredible young athletes. The trophy was collected on behalf of the team by Jess and Betty, who did a fantastic job representing the club and their teammates on the night.
This marks a special moment for Trent Rowing Club, as our juniors had previously won the same award back in 2014, making this latest recognition another milestone in the club’s growing legacy of junior success.
Also attending the celebration were club representatives Richard (President), Jim (Chairman), and James (Welfare Officer), who were delighted to support the team and celebrate alongside other talented athletes and organisations from across the region.
The event was held at Battlestead Croft, the home of Burton Rugby Football Club, providing a fantastic setting for a night that celebrated the very best of local sport.
During the evening, the club also had the opportunity to tell the audience about our #DucksInARow crowdfunder campaign, helping spread the word about the exciting developments underway at Trent Rowing Club.
