Our new boat barn is complete!

The Boat Barn is built, the next step is to fill it.

Our focus now moves from the building itself to the boats and equipment that will allow more people to get out on the River Trent.

We want to grow rowing in Burton, introduce more juniors and adults to the sport, and make the most of the additional space the new Boat Barn has created.

Whether you want to row, volunteer, support the club or help us fund the next generation of boats and equipment, we'd like you to be part of it.

Help us get more people rowing on the Trent.

Boat Barn opened

The new Boat Barn

Trent Rowing Club's new Boat Barn provides purpose-built storage for the club's boats alongside our existing boathouse on the River Trent.

Moving the fleet into the new building creates additional space in the original boathouse for training, equipment maintenance and other club activities.

The project was completed in October 2026 following several years of planning, fundraising and construction.

The barn provides secure storage for the club's boats and equipment while freeing space within the existing boathouse for training, maintenance and other club activities.

Ducks in a Row

With planning permission secured, the next challenge was raising the money needed to build the new Boat Barn.

Trent Rowing Club launched the Ducks in a Row crowdfunding campaign in 2026, with support from club members, families, local businesses and the wider community.

The campaign raised £32,141 from 164 supporters, including £15,000 of match funding from Sport England.
