Trent Coaches Help Power East Midlands to Women’s Victor Ludorum at JIRR 2024

Trent Rowing Club is proud to celebrate a landmark achievement from the Junior Inter-Regional Regatta (JIRR) 2024, where the East Midlands region with Trent’s junior girls and coaches at its core won the prestigious Women’s Victor Ludorum Cup.

Awarded to the region with the most successful female crews, the Women’s Victor Ludorum is a coveted title and this year, it belonged to the East Midlands, thanks to outstanding performances from our junior athletes and the tireless work of coaches Karl and Kellie.

Trent Rowing Club played a key role in this triumph. Several of our junior girls were selected to represent the region and delivered exceptional results on the water, helping to secure valuable points toward the overall victory. The dedication and skill of Karl and Kellie in preparing and supporting the athletes throughout selection, training, and race day were instrumental to this success.

This result is not only a proud moment for the East Midlands, but also a major milestone for Trent Rowing Club, highlighting the strength of our junior women’s squad and the depth of coaching talent within the club.

With Thames Upriver and the East Midlands taking top honours in the Victor Ludorum standings, Trent Rowing Club stands proudly among the nation's best, continuing to make its mark on the junior rowing scene.
