I'll be down this Sunday but don't know which boats will be available -- Kenny, do you know if the coxless quad is staying at the club? Do you have a rough idea what other sorts of boats might be available for any SHARC people?

BTW, I've added Pete Ettrick to the SHARC mailing list. (Pete, if you prefer to not be on this mailing list, let me know and I'll remove you from it. I email people once a week [or try to] to update them on the river outings, and to let people know if people will or won't be at the club that Sunday -- when I know, that is.)

I've mobile numbers for Tim Standen and Steve Brown -- anyone have email addresses for them?

Last Sunday it was summer -- remember that? -- and the heat knackered us, sweating all the way up and back down the river.

Mike Groves got out in his single while the rest of us waited for the coxless quad to return. In the end, John Oram said he could cox us in the coxed quad so we put that on the river with Nick at bow, Pete E at 2, me at 3 and Mike Gipson at stroke. We rowed up and turned round past the wire, and that was about as far as we felt like going in the oppressive heat (ok, oppressive for Burton). John coached us and we benefitted from this so thanks, John! And Pete G got out in a double with one of the junior girls -- Pete, if you ever want to have a session in the quad, just say so and we'll make a space for you.
